Wow, I thought MAME was the only thing you could use. The bad part is, I don't even know how to use it :'( |

Mamewah is very easy to set up if you use the mamewah config program - http://www.bluecamel.org/2005/02/26/mamewah-config-161/ |

MAME Setup - www.mameworld.net/easyemu SNES - I like ZSNES NES - I like FCE Ultra Frontends - MAMEwah is good once you learn how to configure it. I also like Atomic, but not sure if it does multiple emulators. |

Hope you get setup with some of the old classics running. MameWah is the best choice for firing up MAME but I reckon if you downladed and installed MAME32, ran a few games and played with the settings it'd help you when you come to install MameWah and have to configure things manually. MAME32 uses a Windows GUI to quickly change settings so you can see their effect then exit the game and change something else to learn what it does like screen sizes, audio settings, DirectX etc. The MAME binary has a config file that you edit by hand MAMEWah just launches MAME along with the ROM file and depending on what the config file contains depends on how your games look and how well they run. Good luck! Just to clarify a bit: MAME32 - Installs, drop your rom files into rom folder and run mame32.exe play games that are listed in the program. MAME (Windows Version)- runs from the command prompt you have to put roms into rom folder then issue a command in the command prompt like C:\MAME\mame dkong to play a game. Frontend - creates a list for your roms for each emulator and when a game is selected from the list it runs the emulator with the selected rom without using the command prompt. Useful for hiding the Windows environment and creating game lists for multiple emulators. MameWah is found to be the easiest to configure by most. |

Ok that does help my understanding. once i install MameWah how do i install MAME, ZSNES and other emulators throught it? MameWah will hide widows so it will look like a "normal" arcade? can i navigate through the on screen game selection by using only the joystick and buttons(i will be rewiring a usb gamepad)? |
