Thanks for setting me straight on that.  It's good to know.

I'm moving slow on this and learning as much as I can (not so much to save money but to get it right the first time).   I really like what the Dream Arcade upright kit has to offer at first glance, and I'll probably be sending some questions soon.

anybody have any more opinions on the mag-stick I'm thinking about using them for my cabinet

My review for RetroBlast is still pending, but so far I really like what I see.

Since my CP was already completed and populated with Wicos I am having to fabricate a new mounting plate for the sticks as the one included does not fit the same pattern.  Not a huge deal but something to be aware of if you happen to be retro-fitting the sticks.

While I don't have much to compare them to (only vague recollections from playing on DanW's SlikStik-based Aarghcade), I'd have to say I love my Mag-Stick Plus's so far and think they're a perfect replacement for the old 2x 8-way and 1x 4-way layout people used to have to do.

I just got them installed Saturday in my first CP and they work great!  Only thing that bugged me (which is common to all microswitch-based Sticks) is that there's a clicking sound everytime you move it.  It turned out to actually be a sort of handy way to confirm whether you're in 8-way or 4-way mode though :)

I still have to snag some ball-tops for mine...  Anyone know much about the Ultimarc replacement ball-tops as to the length difference between the "regular" and "long" ball-top replacements?
