| Pre-made S-video with RCA sync cables? |

I really don't feel like splicing my 10ft Monster Gold S'video cable to get my light gun working on my cabinet. :( Is there a such thing as S-Video cables that have already been made with the RCA sync? If so, where can I purchase one? I'd be willing to give up my Monster cables for something else on my arcade cab if they were already hacked. |

The cable can be used in place of an S-video cable. The worst thing that happens if it doesn't work is that you're out a keyboard. I KNOW it sounds wierd. I thought the same thing when I first heard about it. If I can find the dang link, I'll repost it here for you, but the only difference between the two is that S-video has that annoying rectangle. |

Thanks, for the reply, but I don't think that is what I'm looking for. I have several S-Video to RCA connectors that work fine for going from S-video to RCA. What I'm looking for is an S-video cable with an inline RCA input. Trying to hook up my Guncon 2 to my MAME cabinet which is hooked up to a 27" flat screen television via S-video. Here is an image of what I'm trying to get: http://img201.echo.cx/img201/1986/svid9cr.jpg |

Looking at that picture, I'm fairly positive I've seen something like that while looking for a BYOCable site I used to have. When you say "RCA Input", it looks like it's simply a standard cable that you say you have several of, only with a female end. If that's the case, wouldn't cutting a male end off and soldering on a female end work just fine? If that's not the case, then your picture just confused me more or I missed some information that's not matching up with that pic. |
