--- Quote from: ChadTower on December 12, 2005, 10:44:44 am --- Just put it someplace else on the server... it would depend on if they are blocking everything to your domain, or just a specific root url. Other than the domain, that url was really nothing more than the path location of the install on the server. --- End quote --- The entire domain is blocked. -S |

I have Websense here, and I can get to your site still. That means one of two things: my company hasn't gotten the latest updates from Websense database or 2) Chad's company has been watching traffic and manually added the Stingray Purgatory to their blocked list. edit: Or option 3, my company is not blocking that particular category. Chad - what does the error message say? Blocked because of....? |
Stingray:
It says "Personal websites are not allowed" for me. -S |

This software relies on a vendor-supplied database of URLs categorized by criteria developed by this vendor. At times the criteria used does not correctly reflect the content returned by a URL. Lame. Damn IT security freaks.... I guess using Tiny URL prob won't get around the problem. Only other thing would be to use a proxy service like tor.eff.org, that unless Proxy Avoidance sites are blocked as well..... Or do like I do - ssh back to my home computer then surf the web from there. |
