Your cab is coming together great in my opinion (as appears to be the trend with all you fabrication  ;D ).  I am a big fan of the dark blue.

The thought may be a painful one, but perhaps you should gather your fave concepts and when this topic hits page 17 or so you could just close your eyes and ask the wife

 c64rulez,

I did a quick mockup and it looked great in black.  Change the bezel to have black inside as well.   The contrast between the rainbow neon works great against black.

The other color that worked well was the inner bezel blue , however, even that didnt look as good as the straight black.

It does seem now, with the cp and marquee art layout, that the main cab's color should be dark. I tried black and it's ok, good contrast and all, but I vowed against black in the first place...
I can go with a darker shade of blue or some kind of artwork that resembles the marquee, or ... who knows ?
But the issue of the main color has to be sorted out soon because it postpones further progress.

Actually I ask her opinion every now and then, and as long as she agrees with me I embrace her suggestions  ;D

Thanks man.
This last week was pure havoc for me. Here's my (foolish) "howto not make progress on your cab (or anything else for that matter)"

1. You decide to upgrade your company's mail server (That's already a dumb move - if it works, let it be)
2. You have this  superb backup software that keeps telling you "DRIVE G: IS IN USE"
3. You break the mirror set on the server and it's still not satisfied (stupid step #1)
4. You restart the server (restart is your best friend, no ?) (stupid step #2)
5. The machine boots and it sticks it to you with an error of finality - No active directory for you buddy
6. You forget the stupid password you assigned the server while promoting it three years ago.

7. You spend 8 days in total mayhem, looking for cover as users point at you and demand "I WANT MY EMAILS BACK"
8. You also find out that the dead server used to issue terminal licenses, was a DNS server, a PDC and then some.

So, anyway, with that finally behind me (I hope), some cab progress is ahead. I am having a hard time with that color and sideart stuff. I think now that a full sideart adhesive solution is gonna cost  too much, so I'll stick to that "paint-it-yourself" art.
I tend now to go with versapak's design which I think is brilliant, and could be applied "manually".

Here's a 3d mockup for that design.

And keep away from MS Mail Servers. They bite.
