Any Comments on the SlikStik Cabinet + Quad Control Panel

You could always get an arcade-in-a-box kit, then build a cabinet around it at a later date.  :).  Since everything is in the control panel itself (Computer, cdrom etc)

BTW, Saint will have his aiab kit soon for a review.

Although building a cabinet yourself will give you the most satisfaction and will ensure you get everything exactly how you want, that's just my opionion.  I realize a lot of people 1.  Don't have the space for a full size cabinet, and 2.  Don't have all the tools needed to create one.

i have the slikstik quad 4 setup, its a nice setup & in my case, im self employed & I had to look at time vs money, so it was the way to go, your still not buying a full complete cab, even when i built it there was still lots work, wiring, getting the computer ready & the bugs out, etc, if you do purchase one, i recommend adding some L clamps to make the cams hold better & any boards that were exposed & not covered with a laminate, i sealed with a clear coat, but its a awesome setup esp. with the betson arcade monitor
thanks

Thanks, I am in the same boat (self emplyed) no time or tools to build (have knowledge). Curious on the monitor...I was looking at the Wells Gardner instead, why did you choose the other?

Also, did you customize the the quad panel at all or upgrade anything?

I don't know Divemaster's reason for choosing the Betson over the WG D9200, but my reason was because it was considerably less expensive and I could drive to Dallas and get one.

Both monitors have their issues, but the WG D9200 seems to be the gold standard.

I chose the Betson for the same reason except...  I could drive to Baltimore to get mine.  I am very happy with it so far... just remember it is not a PC monitor... it has quirks...
