KnoppiXMAME help?
« on: November 09, 2005, 12:12:45 pm »
Howdy!

I've found the KnoppiXMAME bootable ISO "BYO Roms and go"

I am scouring the web for KnoppiXMAME docs and having little sucess, either I'm a fool or the developers thought it was foolproof.

Probably both

Anway, is anyone using KnoppiXMAME?

I am using MAME .61, can I change the included XMAME to .61?

Can I download the ISO, use MagicISO to insert the ROMs, burn ISO, boot CD/DVD on cabinet's PC, copy everything to the hard drive, and from then on just boot the PC into magical Linux MAME?

Then I can tell people I use Linux and they'll think I'm a smartypants!

Thanks,
Craig

update : I used MagicISO to add the ROMs, and used MagicISO to burn the disk in "mode 1". When I try to boot it reads

"IsoLinux : Image checksum error sorry"

I swear you have to be a mad scientist to use Linux...
