Define "generic"? Every cab I find these days has a variety of innards, size/make of monitors, etc.

As in, not made for a specific game (which would then be somewhat collectible & more valuable).

I got quoted $450 for a fully working woodgrain lowboy with Street Fighter control layout, from Amusement Worx.
Not sure of the monitor size, it's one of the smaller ones, like you'd see at the corner shop in the mid-80's.

(They also quoted me $160 for a JAMMA harness... :o )

Dohhh I'm too late, I'm in western sydney too and have a machine to sell, possibly even my current mame machine in addition to that one.

As soon as parts arrive from slikstik (talk about slooooow) I will need all the spare cash i can to work on my big newie!

I know about Amusement Worx... there's also apparently some guy at Pooraka that I don't have the full details of...

Southern Star Electronics, Research Road Pooraka.  they normally have some old shells floating around they'd be willing to sell.  A bare Lowboy cab with no guts, but including joysticks and buttons and maybe a coin mech or two will normally go for bout $100 bucks.

That's without monitor isn't it?
Any idea how much with?
