My sister just called. She has a friend that is looking to sell a Dragon's Lair cabinet on EBay. She asked me how much it is worth and I really have no idea. Is there some place I can go to get a reasonable idea on what the cabinet is worth? I guess it is in really good shape, although I don't have first hand knowledge of that. I'm not sure they understand the work necessary to handle shipping if necessary, so I will have to mention that to them as well. Thanks. |

Start here: http://www.basementarcade.com/arcade/auction/index.html Have your sis or whoever do a google search for arcade or amusement auction results, keeping in mind that "sold" prices can vary widely. If someone else here knows of additional resouces, please post here too. ARCADIAC! |

How about ebay... :P |

You have to account for: - Working or not - Defective or not - Condition of cabinet (scratches, breaks, gouges, condition of wood--water damage?) - Condition of side art (intact or half ripped off?) - Condition of control panel - condition of the LED displays (working 100%?) - Laser player - working properly? - Laser disc - Scratched? - Marquee - Cracked? Scratched? - Coin door - rusted? dented? etc... Depending on the answers, could be only good for parts, or could be worth... "more". :) If it's still brand new in the box, never been played, then a couple thousand. More likely though, maybe a few hundred. |
