who likes Dremel tools?

Dremels rock! I would recommend getting the wired version though. It's always a pain in the arse to run out of battery charge when you want to finish a job.

SteveJ34:

One can never have too many tools.

I'm a dremel lover (yes, opening myself up for all the cheap shots) and even used mine to do the slot cutting on my first cab for t-molding but have shifted to router since that experience. I got it done but that was the only area I can think of where the dremel came in handy during construction. It was definitely a go slow process.

I use is in alot of other areas for little mods to computer/project cases, sawing off nail heads, bolt cutting, small sanding jobs,  etc etc.

I just used my dremel to grind down the tops of some LEDs in my Twilight Zone pinball, to help better diffuse the light.

Man, I love my dremel...here's a funny/weird story: I used my dremel to saw off my wedding ring!

Skadar:

Yikes on the Wedding Ring Incident!

But yeah, I love my Dremel.  It doesn't have a ton of uses in general cabinet construction, but it can help you out of jams more often than not.  I *did* use mine on my cabinet for a bit of detailed shaping.

By far the most useful item on my Dremel is a good cut-off wheel.

JoyMonkey:

I'm thinking of saving a few $$$ and using my dremel to perform some dentistry on myself. With the extension attached it looks and sounds just like a dentists drill. How hard can it be?
