| Powering an LED from the Optipac... |

| Sinner:
I have a HAPP light up trackball...I've powered an LED off a 5 volt connection and it works fine, but when I shut off the PC, the TB stays illuminated... I didn't realize it was a constant power source...is there a connection on the Optipac that will shut off with the PC, or should I see about getting power from somewhere else?? I suppose I could just leave it lit... |

Is the Opti-pac powered off of USB? If so, the USB is still getting power even when the pc is off. You may be able to change it in your motherboard's BIOS. |

Can you use the PS/2 socket instead? That socket does not stay powered. |

It might be under the bios' "power management" settings. Something like allowing the computer to power on via USB keyboard. |
