| Whole lot of shaking going on?... |

| darthbane2k:
After unveiling my recently completed cab to my friends last night, they opted for a game of Streetfighter Alpha. The game got rather frantic, with both hammering on the buttons and shaking the sticks to perform Dragon Punches etc.. As they were doing this I noticed the cabinet shook from side to side slightly. This worried me a bit as I had the castor breaks on. Anyone think this is cause for any concern or have any suggestions as to how I can rectify it. |

It could be a few things, the ridgidity (<?) of the cabinet, the surafce which the cab is on or possibly how far the castors are apart. The further apart the castors are, the more stable the cab will be. Any one else for some suggestions? |

whats the gap between the sides and back from the floor? Could you get some strips of wood and put it under each side - this would mean the sides of the cab are holding the weight instead of the castors |

I'd think you need to determine if the shaking was occurring in the casters or if the body of the cab was shaking itself. There was a thread around here on bracing, somewhere. I think the final consensus was just to fill it with concrete or something equally unviable. Here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=40695.0 |

You know what, I think im going to leave it. I cant be arsed to add braces, its not as if the cab shakes everytime, its just when these maniac friends play streetfighter. Could always add some cinder blocks inside I guess.... |
