--- Quote from: Jabba on October 08, 2005, 11:46:54 am ---Thanks Howard, that explained a lot for me. In a lot of ways its like MAME, and in a lot of ways its not. I read the Faq this morning with my coffee and it makes a lot more sense now. I found a pretty nice install kit from a guy on the forums called Phoenixx1771 He has kindly bundled every thing up into a simple install kit and even includes two sample tables. Here is the Link for those interested... http://www.nefkom.net/kevin.pecher/EasyInstallKit%203.0.exe Thanks again guys... --- End quote --- Hear hear, the install kit from Phoenixx1771 is AWESOME! A *huge* timesaver since, for whatever reason, the individual installers just seem to screw things up when run manually. Phoenixx1771 must have figured out something simple that makes them work. Who knows what, but i've done a ton of installations for friends and until I used Phoenixx1771's installer something always was a little busted. Joseph Elwell. |

A couple of months ago I just performed a complete install of Visual Pinball with as many tables as I could find (ie: about 1400). I did not use Phoenix's Easy Installer, but I know it comes with VPLauncher front end, but I prefer the newer front end called VP-Man. It does more things and presents the games better ... in my opinion. Vp-Man also allows the user to take a screenshot of the table/game (by hitting PrintScreen while the table is active) and then associates it appropriately (when exiting the game) so it can be used in the frontend. Have you ever gone to PinBall Nirvana's website? They have a lot of non-pinball games for Visual Pinball as well (Bagetelle, etc..). The three Bagatelle games I created are located there :) Here are the main sites to get tables: AJ's VPinmame Tables: http://irpinball.ztnet.com/ Visual Pinball Tables: http://www.vpforums.com/vptables/ Here are some other sites to get different tables: Pinball Nirvana: http://www.flipperless.com/ Vp-Originals: http://www.vp-originals.com/ VPUnderground: http://www.vpgd.net/ |

Just for the record, a Torrent site for tables... [redacted] |

weird site--I register so I can login, it emails me a confirmation then tells me no such email exists when it won't accept my password. I'm thinking there are some bugs to work out in the whole registration process... |
