You're also a third party without direct interest whose only motivation is to hurt his business. That does not go over well in court.

All he'd have to do is file the suit and he has already cost you some hard $$$. Don't be an idiot.

Hey, the risk is yours, I'm just warning you. The risk of having to defend yourself in a civil suit here is very real and quite expensive.

Civil. And defending yourself against a civil suit is very expensive, from day 1, whether or not the suit has any actual merit.

I would think "accusations" would fit what you are looking for.

CT's point is well-taken, though, the suit doesn't have to be legitimate to be filed, and would need to be defended regardless. . .

I know the feeling (only too well). Then again, someone can sue you b/c your brown/blonde/gray hair offends them and they think you should change it, so over-paranoia isn't great either. . .
