The Solitaire Challenge cab is my first cab, but it looks like it is going to end up as a gift to my brother in law.  I can't count how many favours I owe him and he thinks the whole home arcade thing is really cool.  He has no idea about electrical wiring or about computers though, so the only way for him to get set up is for me to do it for him.  In a way I am really glad because I now have something that I can do for him that he otherwise can't do for himself.

Now that I have been examining cabs for a while, I think that a generic Dynamo with a metal panel ( I am fixated on metal ) would be the way to go both for the overall look of the cab and thelayout is very MAME friendly.  I was briefly interested in an Old Williams cab a while back but I was delusional about how much shipping would cost.  Besides, for a MAME project, I think a Dynamo cab would be better than an old Williams (there is something about the nostalgia of owning a true classic cab though)

Apologies to Ldsfunaz for the threadjack, but since the matter is closed ...

Those Dynamos are nice cabinets and I love working with metal CPs.

By odd coincidence, I've been looking for an old Williams cabinet(s) as I am now hankering for Joust, Defender and Robotron. I heard that Clay has MultiWilliams kits back in stock, so maybe one machine to play them all ...

There was one at the last Starburst auction that had been converted to a Street Fighter (oh, the injustice!) and I totally missed it ... went for $100 working. Oh well ... if I had bought that, then I wouldn't have been able to get my Asteroids, so there is some justice in the world.

Peter (SKYHOPPER) is going to e-mail me photos of his cabs and I will post them for him ... unless he has an old Williams cab, in which case I will not be posting that one ...   ;D

Sorry again for the threadjack ...

Cheers.
