Okay guys, its sad yes I do know... but this is what I currently have http://www.happcontrols.com/trackballs/565600xx2.htm 56-0300-12TI12 3" Trackball with USB and PS/2 Interface Blue Translucent and Illuminated 1+ $153.60 6+ $146.50 I will check when I go back home, but I thought it has more wires than the picture shows. My problem is how do I wire this? From the picture there are two wires that extend into what seems like a terminal connector... where does that go? When I connect this to my PC it will act as a mouse but what acts as the left and right mouse buttons, or do I set this through my encoder and just use the buttons on the cp? I am using the KeyWiz encoder with windows xp pro. Finally, does the trackball have to have a power source set to illuinate the ball? There is a light underneath it but it appears nothing is connected... if it does have to have a power source, what is the easiest way for me to make this work? Thanks for the help, and yes I know how stupid of a question this is ... |

The usb version you just plug it in the PC. The ones that requires the KeyWiz or other encoders are the standard arcade trackball. Which this is not. |

Should be 2 main connections 1 is for the USB/PS2 which looks to have both connectors daisy chained, the other harness which may be what you are remembering attaches to 2 or 3 pushbuttons to give you the mouse button functions. Happs says connectors are included for .187 or .25 terminals so just choose your buttons. No other connections required. BobA |

The 2 wires are probably just grounds that you should run to an earth ground. |

Does anbody really use those green ground wires? If so what do you wire them to? A terminal block and then to your common ground on your ipac? Or do you just wire it to some metal parts on your Control panel ? |
