Just curious, what are you using it for?

Not sure what he is using it for, but I used it to fill in gaps, holes, and scrathes when I was restoring an old DK cab. It fills in nicely, and sanded down has a super hard finish that is paintable.

That's what I thought, I use it for filling in screw holes and scratches because it dries in several minutes and can be sanded (no waiting for wood filler to dry).  Also I use fiberglass gelcoat on cabs before I prime/paint them, it makes them perfectly smooth and also makes the wood resistant to moisture.

How do you apply the gelcoat?  Is it sprayed?  I've never heard this before..

It can be sprayed or brushed on.  Homemade arcade cabinets are probably not a common application for fiberglass, but in working with it on another project I spilled some and "accidentally" found out that it permanently bonds to floor underlayment (particle board).  I don't think that it would adhere very well to MDF, though.
