Sand=Silicon.  Snorkels=Silicone (with an "e")

Don't confuse them as they are not the same.

That being said, I trust silicone more than PVC, but you couldn't pay me to ingest that Splenda crap  :D

Sand is mostly silicon dioxide (SiO2) rather than pure silicon.

Apply that to yourself.  I never asked about the safety of silicone, since I already know.  Go research it.  You just argue to argue.  And I already thanked those who made suggestions that helped.
