For those who have seen the Moonwalker Control Panel on Ebay..

I can't understand why anyone would place a bid on ebay that wasn't in the last 30 seconds of the auction. Bidding any earlier than that is just pushing up the price that the winner will pay (i.e. the price you will end up paying should you win).
The best policy is to decide what really is the highest price you would willingly pay for the item and then set a snipe to bid that amount a couple of seconds before the auction ends.

I work with a guy who is addicted to buying golf clubs on eBay and keeps complaining that 'some ---uvula--- keeps putting in bids right in the last minute and takes my clubs that I bid on two days ago. punk!' But he never learns and always bids days before the auction ends and always either looses or pays more than he should have.

Because the winner is the person who's willing to spend the most, not the person who gets in the last bid.  It's all craziness, I tells ya.

I WON! ha! Anyways, I dont like putting my max bid right away, cuz if someone wants it they will just bid above it, then im done, but if i bid lower,  and they bid above me, i still have a chance of putting one more bid in.

Crazy Cooter:

I ususally try to get a bid in at the end.  Of course I forget and miss about 75% of the auctions I wanted to bid on.

... and I'm too lazy to sign up for an autobid/snipe site.

... far too lazy...
