| Adding a volume control? |

To a standard Midway mono speaker (Pac cab.) What's the best way to do it? Be nice if there was a pre-existing black knobby thing I could just wire up and put in the top of the cab by the speaker that was designed for this purpose. Stranger things have happened... |

I even used the same Radio Shack POT! Here's mine in the center of my admin panel: It works FANTASTICALLY! Also, no mods required to the speakers / amp. You will (probably) need a 1/4" shaft extender. I had a hard time finding one of these. I ordered mine from here: http://www.oselectronics.com/ose_p100.htm I used the shaft coupler (SC120) and cut a length of 1/4" aluminum rod to get the exact projection through th panel I needed. Good luck! |

I don't know if this needs mentioning or not, but keep in mind that the pot will only REDUCE volume. If you want some sort of INCREASE in volume, you need an amplifier. |
