Stingray:
In my last post I'm talking about two dofferent types of insects. One commonly called "mud daubers" at least here, the other are "red wasps". Neither of them are hornets. We have those too, and those were put on the planet Earth  specificly to give humans something to avoid. ;D

Clearly I've been misusing the term "mud dauber" my entire life. GIS reveals the bug that's bugging you, but I can't find the one I'm looking for. More research is in order.
