here's what the nest look like:

from what I've found so far they are not supposed to be aggresive and rarely sting.

I think they are called Organpipe mud daubers, but the ones I've seen neer the nest look like the black and yellow mud daubers......

--- Quote from: Stingray on September 15, 2005, 03:11:14 pm ---Having a bit of a wasp problem myself this year.

--- End quote ---

every year it's one type of bee or another that tries to control my yard....

wish I could find a way to eliminate them permanently......

--- Quote from: Dartful Dodger on September 15, 2005, 03:12:05 pm ---Whatever you do, have someone video tape you doing it.

Watching a running away from bees screaming like a girl always makes me laugh.

Stingray:
Nests look different from the ones I get. They're more of dome type shape.

GameOver:
These are the mud buggers I get in my garage.  Just the house - I started to tap the nest to get one out, but then my camera went dead.  Looks similar to what you've got - anytime I see these, I just scrape them off the wall with a piece of scrap wood.  The bugs that come out of mine look just like wasps, but have never stung me.

missioncontrol:
I'll get some pictures befor I destroy the nest.........

just got to figure out how to destroy them first WITHOUT getting stung. I really want to do some painting this weekend......

my marquee should be here soon...
