Mamewah NES & Megadrive??
« on: September 06, 2005, 05:14:05 pm »
Just been trying to set up these 2 emulators (FCEUltra & Kega Fusion ver. 3.3) to use with mamewah and have come across a few problems. When i have setup mamewah to use these emulators, FCE starts out in a window, if i go to video setting and set it to fullscreen, it comes up with an error message and say something about direct draw command is wrong, and closes the program. With Fusion i select a rom to load but it only starts up the emulator and doesnt load a rom, Could some please help me with these problems?

Not sure about the FCE problem....but for Fusion you need to use a commandline_format like:

"[rompath]\[name].[romext]" -fullscreen{nodosbox}{nosafelaunch}

Try {safelaunch} instead of {nosafelaunch}.

Ok ive try {nosafelaunch}, but now it does the same but instaed of a black screen it just stays on mamewah screen, and i can hear the game. What is the best SNES, NES, & GENESIS emulators to use with mamewah?

Mamewah is a far better choice for all these Arcade/Console emulators and Pc games.

You can check the list here.

Fusion is best IMO - I use it personally.  For me however it works fine with the commandline_format I posted before.  Try using:

"[rompath]\[name].[romext]" -fullscreen{dosbox}{safelaunch}

That should certainly work.

Well, if even one shows up it's not your ini file. THe path must be correct. Are your images named EXACTLY the same as the rom name?

That's probably it, many emulators do not follow the standard that MAME does (unfortunately).
