Pics from my visit to an Arcade Warehouse

AC.:

A few months ago I went to an arcade warehouse of a company that delivers and maintains coin-ops to bars and resturants etc.  I was trying to buy a driving model game but, problem was, they all worked!  I wanted a broken one (cheap one) so I could put a computer/MAME in it.  Great guys -- and seeing all the cabs was fun.  In the warehouse, the games were packed next to each other with no room between them.  He said if we want to see the ones at the back, just walk across the top of them to get to them! Here is the link to the pics I took:  http://www.carnine.net/aw/index.htm

LPZ:

This is what kills me...hundreds of games in a warehouse, not seen by nobody in the last umpteen years.........where's the love :P

NIVO:

ehhh, uh huh huh huh. Hording causes mame'ing, hope the owner is aware of that....or something.

TurboC--:

At least your owner was nice.  Biggest shop I went to in Pittsburgh (Pinball Perfection), the guy was very rude and didn't give me the time of day, had tons of games in the shop but wouldn't bother showing me the warehouse.  This was after telling me on the phone to come down and check it out.  The other shop owners badmouth him (I can see why), he's overpriced and doesn't know how to treat customers.

Actually he might only be tied for the biggest in Pgh, Greco Amusements is where I got my Pac cab and he had probably as many.  It is sad and odd seeing so many unused machines though, especially when they are arranged like a huge, silent arcade.  Like an arcade graveyard...

madmagician:

wow, just wow.   The shame of it is, most of those will just sit there until
A) they are destroyed by natural disaster
B) the owner dies and they are junked/ sold off in a tax auction
C) The owner drives them to the junkyard.

I wonder how much he wants for the crusin exotica?
