I did the side by side thing...works fine and what's cool is that you save on buttons because, say the 4 way is between two 8 ways (with accompanying standard 6 button layouts). For right handed players, they can use one set of buttons, and left handed players can use another. So basically, you don't need any dedicated buttons for the 4 way., |

If you use a Happ Ms. Pac reuion stick (mounted left side of the pair) and a full height wico or Happ stick (right side of pair), then you can literally mount them with the bases touching, and they won't even come close to getting in the way of each other. You can't do it the other way around though, the reunion stick must be left side of the pair, unless you are one of those "joystick to the right of the buttons" freaks, in which case you have to reverse it. ;D |
