Good traders list
« on: September 01, 2004, 03:23:35 pm »
I'm not sure if this is the section I should post this in but here goes anyways.

I have been in this hobby for almost a year now, have built a couple cabinets, and met alot of people.  I just wanted to publish a list of people I have either traded parts to/with or bought parts from, that I feel are good traders.

pcates
rocky
edgedamage (thanks, I love my psone  :)
menace
mmmpeanutbutter
the tick
skyhopper

All of these people have helped me out alot, and I wouldnt hesitate to do business with any of them again.

I've dealt with Gozur and GCS in the past here with no problems at all.  They are great to deal with.

I'm also right in the middle of a deal with stellarola, and everything has been going great so far.  He seems like another great guy to deal with.

I've had great experiences with GCS, Pointdablame, Peale, and a bunch of others too many to list. Bgnome sorry bout the joys and mnmcaputo sorry bout the slow shipping (sometimes family stuff and work has to come first).

I can't say that I've had a bad experience with a completed  trade or sale with anyone on the board.

Great hobby, great people

Maybe it would be easier to have a "Bad Traders" list.  I personally haven't seen anyone complain about not getting their product... except a few eBay posts, but none from members here.

A bad trader list is definetely more useful.

Also, using a service like heatware.com is EXTREMELY helpful. All of us traders at the Anandtech Forums and HardOCP Forums use it along with almost every other FS/FT forum on the net.

Yes Heatware is always a good resource to have, i dont think id be able to go over all the good traders ive dealt with based on my memory our my head would explode.

http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=5367

The admin at heatware is a very cool guy and im sure he would be willing to add BYOAC to the drop down list of web sites we can leave an eval for.

I always meant to ask if we could put heatware in the sticky post as a recommended type of references.  Most every other forum I go to uses it, and it's a great way to keep track of your references.  Everyone should sign up IMO.

No, you got me (Wizard of DelRay).  I had bought the Sega stuff before my old user name was deleted.  In fact, there a couple more names that I need to add to this list but I can't search anything by my old user name, so I have to go back through the pages one at a time.  Thanks again.

Add General Zod to this list.  Sent a coin door (and then some) that was very, very well packaged.  Items in seperate bags and boxes surrounded by packaging peanuts.  Definitely someone to buy/trade with.  Thanks again.

Sometimes I do stupid things late at night when I should be sleeping.  I had always wondered where the Guest posts were from, and now I know.  Oh well, live and learn.

It's a little bothersome cause I had some good interaction with people under my old user name.  It's alright though, cause I just gotta reestablish myself with those who don't remember.

I had a good dealing with MmmPeanutbutter . We combined our t-molding orders. Everything went smooth and he was quick to ship my part of the order.

Added Jan 3-05:
Good dealings with Vader88 too. I was the buyer and he sold me a game board with some wiring.
