You could play it on a yoke but that's not exactly what it had.

You're exactly right...after I posted this topic...I did some more searching on the boards...and discovered that you probably wouldn't want to use a yoke.

Final Burn FF is a seperate emulator. It doesn't support many feedback games so it might not be worth it...depends how much you like OutRun.

Yes

Final Burn FF - emulates the sitdown simulator version of outrun..
The sitdown used a motor and worm drive to Tilt the entire cabnet left to right.
(wheel did not shake)
However, the standup version used a completely different force feedback.
Instead, it used a single-direction motor that drove a piston arm - which moved the steering wheel platform back and forth very rapidly and violently.
Final Burn FF - works 'ok' with typical PC force feedback wheels. But its nowhere near the same as a true shaker motor would feel like. Its weak, slow, and tame comparitively. Its also not correct emulation.. because its using the wrong feedback system.
Hopefully someday someone will emulate the standup version as well.. so we can make our own shaker motor based feedback wheels.

Most of the commercial arcade driving game controls _ARE_ manufactured by Happ Controls. In most cases they are the source so you've got to pay the price.
