End up talking to myself, huh ?

Oh well.

I know that RayB isn't planning on it.  Menace ? GGKoul ? Sinner ? EdgeDamage ? Other SW Ontarians ?

Are you guys gonna leave me alone with those scary CGCC folks ? I like b1bug and all, but getting them together after an Ikea breakfast is kinda frightening ... and I want to buy a candy cab, so you know they're gonna mock me.

Cheers.

I guess the answer was no (RayB didn't wake up in time) ... weird auction with crap going for way too much ( I was outbid on two cabinets that should have gone for less that $50) and decent stuff going relatively cheap.

I ended up with:

- Die Hard (soon to be a JAMMA gun game cabinet)
- Virtua Tennis 2 (GD-ROM) in a 33" showcase
- Golden Tee 2K in a nice clean Dynamo

Met lots of the CGCC guys and they're not as a scary as they make out on the board.

Next auction is October 1.

Cheers.

I think the topic should be renamed and put to Oct 1st!  ;D

Im trying to get that day off work. I get paid the day before... I should have some spending cash and devirginizing myself and getting an arcade.

I just need to get that day off!

EDIT: At least a couple of first timers (from other boards, as well as Scott84) going, so may be a good time to get a feel for the offerings/process if you haven't been yet.

Not like this needs a bump, being second from the top ... but, who is going to the 05NOV auction ?

Doesn't look like I'll be buying anything (have irons in the fire for a few cabinets), but I've said that before ... and ended up with two more machines ... something is horribly wrong with me ...

Anyone ? Bueller ?

Stopped by the auction this morning to pick up my Tron cabinet and met RayB and menace. Talked to Scott84 for a bit.

Wasn't looking to buy, so didn't even get a bidding card ... ended up agreeing to buy AtariJeff's BattleShark.

Left before I bought anything else.

NEXT AUCTION: 03DEC2005

Well, something may have come up so I may not make it to the auction -- hopefully, I'll be driving down the QEW to pick up my all-time-must-have-cabinet ... may stop in on the way back to show it off and smile smugly while the CGCC guys tell me that I overpaid ...

OK arcade fans ... it's the day before ... anybody going ?  I'm thinking menace may be there ... eccs19 perhaps ... RayB ? Scott84? Stewie ?

I'll be there for sure as I have some new toys to pick up (both deals out of the blue yesterday) and some things to hand off to people. Definitely won't be buying anything at the auction unless there is a decent NeoGeo cart or board lot.

Instead of my trademark Toronto Fire t-shirt, I will be wearing a Halloween (the movie) jacket.

Cheers.

I'll be there... I'll be wearing either a yellow snowboard jacket with looks like a firemans jacket or a Canadian Olympic jacket.

Didn't see Stewie, but did see Scott84 and got to meet eccs19. The Kid was nowhere to be seen and, as I understand it (I left early on ... took my pin and my Pac cab and split), the prices were quite a bit lower as a result.

Didn't but anything at the auction, but did well at the CGCC parking lot exchange:

Next one is March 4th.

OK ... it's almost auction time (well, two weeks, but still).

Once again I won't be buying a cabinet (unless something cool shows up in the parking lot ... or maybe more $50 Arkanoids), but will be there at least to deliver some CPOs for the folks further south and further west of me.

Anybody else ? Bueller ?

I hear eccs19 will be there and has a Bust A Move in his future.

Cheers.

It was sitting on my testbench while I was putting some CPOs aside for the auction ... figured you might like to borrow it for a break from the beat-em-ups.
