Well, Scott84 lies .... he won't be there.

I will ... at least to see what the crap looks like so I can report back ...

Will be wearing my standard Halloween jacket, so stop by and say hello.

Cheers.

I've got them already lined up (nothing major, old boards for old monitors and stuff like that), auction is just a convenient meeting place.

I actually don't think I have anything left to trade after these ... guess I need to hoarde some more parts.

I guess I'll wear my normal attire for non-winter auctions ... blue Toronto Fire Rescue t-shirt. Hope to see you.

Cheers.

Finally met GGKoul ... and left him in the sweathouse that is building 2 today.

Lots of cheap, crappy cabinets (including a cute little TAITO curve-cab that I really wanted, but didn't want to stay for).

Loads of hardware cabinets that would have made good MAME projects ... I expect they will go for $25 per.

Next auction is 26AUG2006 -- see you there.

Cheers.

Are you planning on attending, Cheffo?  I'm in the areaish, and wouldn't mind checking out an auction.  I've never been to one before.  I also would like to get my hands on a CandyCab at some point, but do they tend to have them all that often?  :|

Sorry for the delayed response ... I only just checked back on this thread.

Yes, I plan on being there.

There are candies from time-to-time, but never more than two at an auction and they often seem to be shilled up in price.

I'll probably be wearing either a Toronto Fire t-shirt or maybe my BYOAC shirt.

Hope to see you there.

Anyone else ?

Cheers

Anybody else ?

Looks like it will be a full house tommorrow, just not BYOACers ... truckloads of CGCCers, both old and new ... ah well.

Interesting auction ... LOTS of interesting stuff and junk ... 170 items total.

They had items sitting in the parking lot and in a truck behind Building 2.

Congrats to RayB who I think got the best find (I left early on and didn't see if he got it) ... a Centipede mini.

EDIT: Yes, RayB got the Centipede cabaret for $50 ... nice score.

Cheers.

OK, folks ... the time is upon us again ... my wife has told me to go, so I will most likely be there (although I picked up two new projects this past week, so not looking to buy anything).

Anyone ? Bueller ? Bueller ?

I doubt I'm going.. as I'm in the process of selling all my projects... Just no time to complete them.

Sorry to hear that ... I went through a spell where I was considering getting out of projects, but then I picked up a couple more and felt better.

I'm think I'm pass the "arcade" phase...  I'll keep my VR Twin and MAME cab.  But now I'm looking for mint pinballs machines now!!!

Just got back ... saw menace, RayB, monkeybug and grauwulf and a bunch of the other CGCC folks.

Lots of big stuff (ST Voyager environmental, Confidental Mission environmental, Police 911), the usual assortment of 33" Big Buck Hunter showcases and not many great bargains (at least that I saw ... I left 50 items in) unless you wanted one of the bazillion fighters. I just missed getting a Lost World for $225 because my hand went up just as the auctioneer said 'Sold'. Stopped bidding on a nice GT2K at $175 and it ended up going for $200.

There was a decent Toobin' there, but it hadn't come up when I left and I know a couple of folks who wereinterested, so it don't expect a bargain.

Davester and vidiot from CGCC were there, so I would expect to see a price list posted in the next day or so.

Cheers

I'll be there (standard Halloween jacket, bald head, glasses and goatee) to pick up a monitor and some other bits.

OK ... old topic and nobody posts here anymore ....

For more info on these auctions, including next date, etc, visit CGCC (or PM me):

http://www.cgcc.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6487

I strongly encourage anybody in SW Ontario interested in Coin-Op stuff to check the boards at CGCC -- at any auction, the best deals are usually in the CGCC parking lot beside Starburst (did we hit 10 cabinets changing hands this time).

At last count, my "parking lot" cabs outnumber my "Starburst" cabs 8 to 5, and I have done well at the auctions -- MVS-2-25, Asteroids, Die Hard (now a JAMMA gun cabinet), VT2 and Jamma Countertop.

If there is an auction (next on 25AUG2007), then I will likely be there at some point. I am 6'3, typically with a shaved head, goatee and glasses, often seen wearing a BYOAC, GameRoom Magazine or Toronto Fire T-shirt; or, in cold weather, my Halloween (the movie) jacket. Come up and say hi.

 ;)

Probably my last bump for this thread ... partly because this may be the last Starburst auction (or not ... that rumour has been going on for about a year) and partly because nobody here ever shows up anymore.

I won't be there, unless by fluke, as I have a gala fundraiser the night before and the twins' birthday the day of. And I am officially, totally, completely and utterly out of room (I'm one cabinet past capacity until such time as I finish office construction and free up that wall in the game room).
