Vector games too large for display with new card
(1/1)

			Hi all,
Cab coming along nicely, thanks to all the great information posted here - thanks.
Tested the new PC on a monitor with the basic graphics it came with - all games looked fine, including the Vector games such as Star Wars.  I then installed a new ATI Radeon 32 SDR (real one) card, and got the newest drivers from ATI's site.  Most games look great, but the vector games (and some others like Tapper) are now too large to fit the screen.   Most are totally unplayable.  The screen resolution has not changed - still 800x600.
Has anyone seen this before?  Is there a setting in MAME that can fix this?
Thanks for any help,
Chad

			I have the same card.
For the games with issues, turn off HW stretch and triple buffering and manually set the resolution to either 640x480 or 800 x 600 (either using the command line options, or through whichever front-end you use).
That should do the trick

Thanks lightspeed.  Very helpful.  Turns out all I had to do to correct it is turn off Hardware  Streching for all and everything looks great.
Thanks again,
Chad
