UAII TVs?

Lactose:

What sort of TVs are people using in their UAII cabinets these days? The 27" Toshiba BestBuy sells is like 29"wide and the UAII web page says that it only has 27" of width for the monitor. I'd rather not go through the hassle of an arcade monitor if I don't have to.

Elfman:

Well it sounds like you bought the pre-packaged UAII kit.

Yes, it's very irritating how speakers seem to always be on the sides now.  I personally wish TVs didn't come with speakers in the first place, but that's another story.  I ended up with a 24" Apex TV that fit in my UAII pretty well.  It took a lot of searching though (and it doesn't auto power on or remember the last channel  >:( )

Timoe:

This is off topic but I love the arcade sounds from your ambience project, ahofle.

--- Quote ---It does not auto power up after shut down.  I've discovered that if the power button is held down by something though that it will power up and stay on when you plug it in.  I'f just gonna screw something to the TV case to hold the button down.

That is the same with the Sansui I put in mine. Though thing to note, is that if the power buttons is held in, You can NOT change the channel or volume or anything else, with either the remote or the buttons on the TV (At least is the case the Sansui).

Not that this is really much of a problem if your screen is going to be soley dedicated to the arcade cab, but if you had to promise the wife that it would still be usable as a TV if needed, then...  :)
