ok, i just downloaded mame32, and put the rom of a game (virtual on cyber troopers, not that it makes any difference) into the roms folder, but when i scroll down to the game and double click it, it comes up with a list of files that i aparantly need, so where do i get them?

Did you try the US one, then you need the Japan one too as that's the parent to the US one.

#1 You don't need to unzip it.
#2 Did you set up the Directories options?
#3 What version of MAME32?

Virtua On is a 3D game and probably doesn't even run properly yet.
NO MORE!!

Virtual On Cyber Troopers is listed as unplayable anyway, so even if you did have a perfect set of roms it won't play in Mame. Yet.

Go read the mameFAQ.  And use MAWS or similar to check up on the games you want to play... you're not going to play Virtual On no matter what roms you download, sorry.
first off your and idiot
