Is it worth it?

I have to question the VGA monitor, too. If it's new, though, the monitor alone would be worth that much. However, a machine is almost never worth more than the sum of its parts. On the contrary, it's usually worth fairly less.

It should be a CGA, according to KLOV.

At any rate, given a new monitor, decent sticks, and good condition art, it's probably worth that easily--if you like the game.

I'm sure it's a VGA, freight: free, it's about 5 miles from my house.

I'd buy the thing, pull the VGA monitor, replace it with a used CGA, and sell it. BOOM! You maybe made some money and got a free monitor out of the deal.

... or conversely, sell the monitor and keep the game for free.

If it's a VGA, what's driving it?

A CGA gameboard doesn't output at high enough frequency/resolution for a VGA monitor?
