battletoads:

Hey I just put the X-men arcade PCB in my old Gauntlet 2 cabinet (converted to Battletoads by previous owner).

All 4 of my coin mechs work with my Battletoads PCB, but when I bring up the screen in X-men's test mod where you can test all the controls, I can't get any of the coin mechs to function.  Coin mechs 2-4 just stay at a '0' value and never change to '1', and Coin mech #1 is stuck at a '1' value (0 means the buttons isnt pressed, 1 means its pressed).

 ???

I would think that the wiring of the coin mechs is to blame, the PCB is totally working otherwise.  Help?

I could send a pic of the coin doors/wiring if it helps

Not sure if this helps any but I remember Battletoads being a three player game and they all shared the same coin mech and you would select the player by using the player 1,2,3 start buttons. With X-Men you would select your player by adding a coin to the corresponding coin mech (mech 1 may have been wolverine, 2 may have been cyclops, etc). Not sure how your particular cab is wired up but maybe this makes a difference. If you were to add coins to the other mechs and all the mechs are wired to one, you would only be adding coins to player 1 with the x-men wiring configuration.

Just to clarify, I meant that they had 3 coin mechs for convenience but "shared" one, meaning that they were all wired to the same input. X-Men is wired up so that each mech is wired to a separate input. My guess is that you need to rewire the mechs to separate inputs.

I think the wiring on the coin mechs for X-Men depends on if it is 2 player, 4 player ,or a 6 player.
