wow.

That is a very impressive cabinet.  It is easily one of the best theme cabs on this board.  I especially like the red T-molding, very old-school batman.  Please tell me you took lots of pictures that you can post.

Thanks for the complements.  It took about 50 hours to finish.  It plays great.  The T-mold is Pac-Man orange-red.  I do like Jim Lee's work.  Here is another pic.  I used a "mask" behind the marquee to make the letters and eye "pop" brighter than the rest.

Wow, that is really really slick!

For extra fun, on the top panel route out a batsignal and pop a bright light inside to cause the signal to display above the machine on the wall or ceiling. :)

That way when the wife comes down telling you to stop playing, tell her you HAD to respond to the batsignal, and you couldn't dissapoint the poor people of Gotham!

Great cabinet. I can tell you put a lot of work into it.

I think all it needs is some artwork around the monitor.

I used a "mask" behind the marquee to make the letters and eye "pop" brighter than the rest.

How did you do that?  It looks great....

Great cab in general, a nice original design - I particularly like the batmobile-esque shape at the back of the sides :)

The marquee is sandwiched between two pieces of 1/8" tempered glass.  Also sandwiched just behind the printed marquee is a black transparency.  Everything is black except for the eyes and letters.  This lets those objects appear brighter.

Cool, seems to work well.  I might try somthing similar to highlight the letters in my marquee better...

One word - Superb !

One of the most original themed cabs I've seen on this forum. Quite a simple modification to an existing cab design but then the simpler the idea the better.

Keep up the good work. God knows how good your 2nd cab will be. ..... A Joker theme maybe ?  ;D

I forgot to mention, I also love the fact that "Bat-Cade" is similar to "Bat Cave".

I just picture you in the middle of doing something and having the sudden urge to play video games, you just raise your hand in the air to silence the room and then say (in your best Adam West voice) "Quick!  To the Bat Cade!"    8)

I can't post audio files but when the "Bat-cade" starts it says:  To the Batmobile.  Atomic bateries to power, turbines to speed... then the burn out.  This is the wall paper

I think the suggestion made earlier about routing out a "bat signal" in the top of the cab (maybe just above the "flame light") would be really sick! Have it backlit and viols! You'd have an awesome bat signal above your cab. JUSt thinking about it makes me think about how I can do something to my VersuS" cab.

Reminds me of a toy of the old batmobile I had years back...fired matchsticks out of the 3 tube thingies.  Wish I hadn't swapped it for something, might be worth something now (please don't tell me if it is!)
