ask Ravage he has provided some great scans, he will tell you the best way to scan and make the full puzzle assembly.
I us a HPScanjet 4600 and a laptop. I lay the cab on its side, use a metal ruler and 90 degree angle as a guide rail accross the artwork and scan with a 2" overlap on all edges.
I then use adobe photoshop elements (v2 - v3 is shite) to put the pieces together. and voila! Oh, and I have 2GB ram to handle all this!
scanner isnt brilliant, it gets allot of banding in the output, but perfetc for vectoring unless you can photoshop.
