Were can I get motherboard pin connectors
(1/1)
BarontheFirst:
Hello all got a small problem but it doesn't stop my cab from working! I need the plug ends for the reset button so I can hook it up to the motherboard. I had one I kept from an older tower to use for the power button. Works great! Now I got the reset in with no way to hook it up just incase I get a system crash I would like to have it. Any site on the net that has these connectors? The guy at my local Radio Shack didn't even know what I was talking about. They hire anyone!
Grasshopper:
Are you talking about header pin connectors? If you are then the easiest thing to do is hack a CDROM audio cable.

If it's another type of connector you're after then you could try www.farnell.com

Actually I had a few short scrap CDROM cables laying around and had that thought.  When you say hack you mean move the wires to match up to the pins? Well since I got the cable in my hands lets see what I can do with it! Thanks for the quick reply!
ultramagnus:
you can get them from www.farnell.com they are 2.54mm (0.100") pitch pin header sockets, you have to buy the crimp terminal housings and crimp terminals seperatly though.
