Southern California possible meet?
<< < (6/8) > >>
Frenetic:
Anyone else in Southern California? Been going up for some road trips up to San Jose with friends. Pretty good times.
Knave Jack:
I'm in Anaheim. I have been to one of the meetups. Got invited by a friend. It was a really great time. Got to play some beautifully restored machines. That is how we ended up getting a Joust. My wife and a friend of ours played the machine at the party for like and hour. As we are driving home, she looks at me and tells me that Joust WILL BE the next machine I buy. I will keep my ears open to the next party and let you know.
Shieldwolf:
Luxury where do you live?
I'm also in west LA.

Cheers,
Shieldwolf
Pixelhugger:

I go out to LA / Hollywood pretty much every other weekend for Amoeba Records.  It's the last of it's kind!!

R.I.P. Tower Records, Virgin, Sam Goody, Wherehouse Music, soon all of Borders..  The closest thing to that and is near me would be F.Y.E. and Second Spin..  but I don't see those places lasting much longer plus they hardly ever have the cds or records I'm looking for..  Amoeba always does though.  Man I don't know what I would do if Amoeba went under........

I hate buying cd's online.  It's always a gamble..  sometimes you'll pay online then get a email couple days later stating their out of stock and refund, it gets lost in the mail, the cd comes and the case or cd itself is cracked, they ship you the wrong album, you buy the cd but it takes weeks to ship or even get a response from the seller..  I'd choose driving to the music store over buying music online any day.
