power supply for arcade monitor

Hello,

I am rebuilding a jamma cabinet to a pc (Mame) cabinet with a J-pac and an Arcadevga card (which I still have to buy). I read the instructions on the site of Ultimarc but my English is not that good.

So, just to be sure, If I connect my original arcade monitor to the J-pac (via Jamma of course), do I then still need the arcade power supply, or does the monitor get its power throgh the J-pac and can I completely remove the power supply (for use in another cabinet or so)?

And what when I start my PC. Do I need a separate power switch for the Monitor?

Greetings,

I believe and explanation of how a game is powered is in order.

Monitors, Marquee lights and Switching power supplies are all run off A/C current.

;) thanks Mike,

I now know what do do. And my monitor does not need an insulation transformer. And thanks for the link, there is some really interesting stuff to read over there!
