Is there a chance that at certain times somebody selling or wanting something can have there thread at the top for a period of time so that person can get the maximum viewing to sell or obtain something of interest to them?

Take for instance my transformers thread in the B/S/T, i know that i'm wanting to find many of these and to have to bump it every day so all people get to see it would be a pain in the but. I don't expect my threads to be any more important than anyone elses but it's an idea. If you guys feel that there are already too many stickies i can understand.

No -- there are too many stickies :) If what you're selling is popular it will naturally rise to the top, if not then it probably doesn't belong at the top. I don't mind bumping your post occasionally, but that's like once a week tops for a few weeks then letting it die if no one bites.
