Kaga Denshi Flyback

Wetworks:

Started cleaning up my Donkey Kong cocktail today. I hadn't turned it on in quite a while. The monitor and everything worked the last time I tried it but there was no picture when I fired it up this time??. The fan, sound and controls are all working so the board is ok. There is no orange glow in the yoke so there was is power getting there. After a few seconds there was a waxy burning smell appearing faintly and I think it was coming from the flyback transformer.
1. Does this sound right? The one for this board ( Kaga Denshi and the monitor is a mitsubishi 20") is seperate from the chassis. See photo.   2. Could it be anything else?
3. Do these Flyback transformers just go?
4. Can you fix them or where is the best place to buy them as this one seems a bit rare and finding any info on the chassis is hard.
5. I f someone does know of it can you get a cap kit for it?
6. Should I just invest in a new one?
Thanks for any help

It might also be worth contacting John Power; arcade80s@bigpond.com.  I know he has modified some kaga boards to use a Kortek EHT which is still available.

Thanks I will contact Jomac today. Appreciate the quick reply!  :)

Well spoke to Jo today about the Kaga Denshi board and Flybacks for this are virtually nonexistent
