BYOAC Hats v2.0 - now with real polling action!
DrewKaree:
Are the grey "lines" on there to represent shading of some sort? I don't follow you on that picture. *edit* looking at it again REALLY makes it look like a hat now! All it needs is a pimp feather on the side and we're good to go! ;D
I DO like adding the "arcadecontrols.com" underneath it....if this is the choide, can we put BYOAC on the side, leaving the back clean?
Pixelhugger:
There is no shading. The white is solid white thread, and same for the black. The image comes from the embroiderers digitzing software. I'm guessing that shading in his image is to make it look like it has sheen... which it will. So take that image with a grain of salt. It's the embroiderers equivalent of my mockups. ::)
BYOAC would still be on one side. There will be an option to embroider your BYOAC id on the back for an additional $5 ($4 cost + $1 customizing surcharge since lots of order customization=lots of database/order maintainance time for me. Hoping to discourage too much of that but I'm happy to oblige those who really really want it.)

Why would he possibly need to bend plexi for hats? ;)

THAT sounds sweet as all get out! Will the other lettering be white as well, or on the lighter hats (khaki is what I'm wondering about) would it be done in black?

Personally I don't like the url on the front. It turns the hat into a billboard instead of a nice simple design. And honestly if anybody doesn't know that it's an arcade button, who cares?
There are a lot more abstract designs on clothing intentionally made so only people that watch X tv show or listen to Y band or follow Z sport know what they reference. I don't see a problem with this because if somebody doesn't recognize the button, they probably spent very little time in an arcade and wouldn't care about the hat anyway. This is the same reason I would prefer no text on the hat at all.

I totally agree with darktemp.
