ZSNES Saving Game
« on: July 04, 2005, 05:58:24 am »
G'day,

I played Donkey Kong Country last night and saved all my game points at the Candy Kong stands but when I went back into the game today there was no game saved, what's the story?  ???

Do I have to save the game differently when using ZSNES?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as the family loves playing the Mine Cart stage but I don't want to have to play though every level to reach it everytime they want to play on the mine carts.  :P

Thanks in anticipation.

I'm no expert...did you load DK Country, then hit load save state (I believe that's the option under file)?  That's how I have to do it with my version of ZSNES.  If that didn't do it, I doubt I can help you!

I think that after you have saved the game at the Candy Kong stands you will also have to save the game state in ZSNES before exiting the game. Then when you reload the game you will have to load the game state.

Thanks.

I've been wondering this myself, because sometimes it'll save without using Save State and sometimes it won't. For example, Super Punch Out saves all my records automatically, and Yoshi's Island WAS saving my game for weeks and then one day I started it up and all my progress was gone.

Does anyone else have any insight? I mean, saving state is fine if we forget...
