So what about latex paint over my oil primer then? |
| krion:
i used latex primer and latex paint which turned out brilliantly. I used Zinser brand primer and a decent quality latex paint on top. 2 coats of primer and i think 4 coats of paint sanding between each, looks really good. Oil makes life easy on MDF, but if you use a really good quality latex primer and put 2 coats, allowing each to dry properly, it should be fine. |

I will definitely consider latex paint on latex primer. I just don't want to use a water based primer. Do you have any pics of your cabinet Krion? |

I'm very ignorant with types of paint. So, latex is water-based? If so, I'm going to use oil-based primer and latex paint. If latex primer isn't water-based then I'm gonna use latex on latex. |
