You asked exactly this question in this thread: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,39105.0.html You shouldn't start more than one thread on a topic, because it makes it very difficult for people to follow, creates a lot of duplicate information, and makes searching less useful. Also, your question was answered in the other thread, so I'm not sure why you're asking again. -- Chris |

all of your questions are answered in the FAQs. and a lot is just common sense. Get screws long enough to go through your board and whatever ledgers/framing you might have. It doesnt make it any stronger if your screws stick out 5" inside the cab. Wood screws or drywall screws work well. Glue every piece if you can (and don't plan on disassembling the cab). The glue is what holds wood together, not the screws. |

For the most supportive cabinet and done completely without screws, dado cut (router channels on the sides and make tongues on the cross pieces) and then use a polyurathane based glue like Gorrilla glue. Also if you offset the cuts (e.g. make 1/2" channels but use 3/4" cross pieces, you end up hiding any waves in your router lines. This is how many original cabinets were made and now the glue is even better and will hold very strongly. |
