I have the 2 X 2 large square led,  I'm going to hack the switch on the motherboard to make a full system power on/off switch two questions...
1. what is the best place for this, i was thinking about above the coin door & below the controller
2. also i assume i will have to run a additional 2 wires to power the bulb in the led switch off of the computer power supply so 4 wires total 2 to motherboard & 2 to power supply
thanks

I have my power button hidden in my keyboard drawer so that it doesn't accidentally get hit.

This is true.  Just make sure you have the voltage right for the LED and use a resistor if you need one. (I don't know what I'm talking about, but hopefully you do :) )

Top of cabinet side on the right near the back.

Depends on what kind of cabinet you have.  A lot of the original cabs have a power button on the back side or bottom to prevent anyone from accidentally turning it off.

I built a UAII and used a very unobtrusive switch and mounted it on the side right underneath the upper side panel.  Easy to reach and not easy to see.

I would think the coin door would work fine as long as you're willing to open and close it a lot.

Yes, you need two sets of wires - one to control the switch that goes to your motherboard.  One set from a molex or other means to get power to the LED.
