Possible to Use CPS3 on TV?

I suppose you could cause a short if you wire it up wrong, but the wiring is extremely straight forward. I don't know what sort of a problem a short might cause.

The red wire carries the red signal. The blue wire carries the blue signal. You get the idea. Black carries ground and the one left over carries sync.

R/G/B/ground/sync

Tada! All those lines are clearly labeled on a JAMMA harness diagram. Sometimes they're even printed right onto the JAMMA harness.

In all honesty, the item most prone to damage would be the converter, itself.

Isn't Street Fighter III (New Gen, Double Impact and 3rd Strike)  the only series using CPS3???? Couldn't you just hook a dreamcast up and get all three in the series up and working with ease? I think so, but maybe you have other plans.

dreamcast isnt arcade perfect..

and there is a sf3:3s with cps3 on ebay i could win for like 150

I was just curious how it's not arcade perfect? Like what are the differences and similarities? I'm being completely serious too, like I dunno, so please fill me in  :). I was wanting to buy 3rd strike cps3, but I figured the dreamcast version was the same  :P.

CPS3 on a TV won't be arcade perfect either, you take a hit in image quality when going from RGB to composite. The dreamcast will actually look better.

Anyway, why play it on a TV? You'll spend less money on an actual JAMMA cab to install it in then you will on hooking it up to a TV.
