Computer deal for Canadians
(1/2) > >>
MiKman:
This might be a good a deal for candians that want a decent computer in their cabinet.
CheffoJeffo:
There is NO WAY a rackmount server will fit in a cabinet unless it is a very big cabinet ... they are about 28 inches long and designed specifically to be mounted in a rack (with mesh doors front and rear) with unimpeded airflow front to back.

Oh ... and they sound like a jet fighter with all the fans going.

Cheers.

EDIT: I suppose you could mount vertically, but these are still big, loud units.

Joystick Jerk:
These things don't even have video cards do they? Don't you have to hook these up the the main rackmount server which has the video ouput on it?

Good point -- they'll have onboard, but you can't install an alternative (for those who want to drive arcade monitors or TVs).

Cheers.
