There are a few typos in the book, see the project arcade webpage for the corrections...but other than that, in my opinion, YES it's as good as you've heard!  My cabinet would not be as near finished as it is without it!

It does depend on how much you already know.  I had spent a while on line, but the book filled so many holes in my knowledge.  If you are an arcade tech on the other hand, it may not be for you.  My guess is the book will set you up to do this hobby right and make good decisions.
