Terminator 2 gun base dimensions

In case anyone's wondering what I'm talking about...

Here's the guns I just ordered off of eBay.

Now, here's a set of guns on a complete T2 arcade machine.

I need to somehow replicate those metal boxes that go around the bases of the guns. Now that I think about it, using MDF probably won't work since it'd be too thick. My best option would probably be to hand-machine new ones out of sheet aluminum. My grandpa does know a thing or two about metal working, so I can probably get some help from him. But I'm gonna need to know the measurements of each individual piece of the boxes. I could always go down to the arcade and measure the ones on their T2 machine, but I don't want to draw looks from employees when they see me take out a tape measurer. That's always akward. If someone who has complete guns could just take some measurements and possibly do a quicky illustration in MS paint or some other program, I'd be most appreciative. :)

perhaps you should change the angle from what they used on the original.  Here's why...   I'm sure they were just mounted so that the guns pointed at the center of the screen in the dead center of the gun's horizontal range of movement.  The original cab had the monitor "mirrored-in" so the center point you'll be aiming for will be much closer on your cab than it originally was (That is, unless your monitor is going to be mirrored or you have a hella long control panel ;D).

Well, I'm not doing anything crazy with the monitor. But I'm using the Lusid plans, so the control panel with be sloped. I'm going to need some way to mount the guns so that they're level, even though they are mounted on a sloped panel. I'm not sure what the best way to do this is, though. Any suggestions would be handy!

The angle that the gun bases are pointed at is like this /      \ is  because that way whe you point the gun's left or right, you're pointing at the edge of the screen and you won't be pointing offscreen, which helps maintain the illusion that the gun is firing something at the screen.

as far as angling the panel itself perhaps you could build a wooden box like 1UP did but then cut the bottoms off at an angle so that its mounted flat.
